The club was formed in 1935 as a member of the Society of Miniature Rifle Clubs (forerunner of the National Smallbore Rifle Association) and moved to the current site in 1951, where we have a 15yd indoor range with clubroom.
We open on Tuesday evenings from 19:00 to 21:00, other than public holidays such as the Christmas period
Rifle shooting accommodates shooters aged 14 and over and all abilities of both sexes.
No previous experience is necessary and it is not necessary to have your own rifle as the club has its own weapons. Instruction is available and the NSRA have proficiency badges that encourage shooters to progress – examples shown below.
The March Rifle Club meet at the clubhouse and range located in Upwell Road, March, Cambridgeshire on a Tuesday evening, commencing at 7:00pm.
The range is an indoor 15 yard range, with 6 prone firing positions, for .22″ rimfire smallbore rifles.
We offer shooting tuition in the prone position, for which smallbore rifles and equipment can be provided.
We enter teams and individuals in the winter and summer leagues organized by the Cambridgeshire Target Shooting Association.
Throughout the years MRC has had several members shoot for Cambridgeshire and one of our former members, John Pearman, represented GB.
It goes without saying that we always welcome new members, be they new or experienced shooters.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have an interest in shooting at the March Rifle Club.
